WHAT IS ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach to behavior change. When we use ABA with children, we primarily focus on changing behaviors which create barriers to social and linguistic learning.

Practitioners design behavior-change plans tailored to each child and record performance data. They then use the data to monitor the effects of  individualized  interventions. This enables them to measure progress and evaluate the efficacy of each intervention.

It is important to note that ABA does not cure ASD. At present, there is no "cure" for ASD. What ABA can do is to offer neurodiverse individuals the tools with which to navigate their environments comfortably and efficiently by broadening and improving their social and linguistic skillsets.
